This is a quilt that I made, the ice cream cones are paper pieced.  It was a fun way to use up some scraps...

T-shirt quilts

I can turn your t-shirts into a memory quilt.  All you need to do is provide the shirts, and I will do the rest.

Traditional Layout:  Every shirt is cut to the same size, and is set in a grid format with strips of fabric between each shirt:

Contemporary Layout:  Shirts are cut to varying sizes, with random coordinating blocks between shirts.

A few quilts

Kids' strip quilt- used the pattern called "Autobahn".  This quilt had blue plush fabric on the back, and shows the pattern well.

This next one is A fun cowboy boot quilt, used the pattern called "Cowboy Corral" on this one.  The solid backing also shows off the pattern.

The leafy pattern called "Avatar" was used on this batik quilt.

"I Love It" pattern

Cute red and white heart quilt, I used the random heart pattern called "I Love It" with white thread.  The quilt had a solid red backing, so the white thread showed up well on the back, too.

Custom-made t-shirt quilts

Would you like to have a t-shirt quilt made?  I can do that for you!  Just provide me with the shirts, and I can do the rest.  You can pick the layout, size & colors, and usually in a few weeks, I can have the completed quilt ready to go.  These are very popular for Christmas or graduation gifts.

Some approximate size/pricing information:

Throw size- 50" x 60" $125-150  (12-15 shirts)
Twin size- 72" x 88" $175-200 (18-23 shirts)
Full/queen size- 88" x 88" $240-260 (25-30 shirts)

All quilts will be machine pieced & quilted, and the final product is washable & very soft & durable.  All shirts will be stabilized with a featherweight interfacing to avoid stretching.

You can pick from tradtional layout, where all the blocks are laid out in a grid of even-sized blocks:

Or, a modern/random quilt, with all the designs put in a random layout:

Please do not cut any shirts.  Just mark any designs with a masking tape "X" that you do not want in the finished quilt. 

New patterns

Pink Ribbon quilt for auction

Just wanted to let you know about an upcoming silent auction for this quilt.  100% of the proceeds go to pay for mammograms for women that cannot afford to get them and all the money stays local.  The auction will be at the Sioux Center High School gym this Friday night (January 15th, 2016) from 5:00-8:30.  If you would like to place a bid on the quilt, call the school at 712-722-2981.  

This quilt measures around 80" x 65" has some super-soft Minky fabric on the back- very warm and snuggly!

A traditional layout t-shirt quilt, quilted with the Square Spiral pattern.

This one is quilted with the "I love It" pattern.  

Heart quilt

Quilted with "Surf" pattern designed by Anne Bright.  I used turquiose thread to match the background fabric.

"Autobahn" pattern

A neat stripy kids quilt, quilted with the pattern Called "Autobahn".

Cute kids quilt, quilted with the "paws" pattern.  The pattern shows up well on the brown Minky backing.
